The Community of Sant’Egidio is a movement of 60,000 Christian people spread in all the five continents. The members of the Community gather regularly for
common prayer and befriend the poor of the cities where they live. At international level the Community is involved in
inter-religious dialogue and commitment to
peace. The Community was born in Rome, Italy, in 1968 and took the name from the Church of Sant’Egidio in the neighborhood of Trastevere, where its center is. In the United States the Community of Sant’Egidio is present in New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Minneapolis and South Bend, and it continues to grow in several other parts.
Join them every Friday evening at the Church of the Most Precious Blood for prayer and service.
